ARE YOU HIRING A PLANNER FOR YOUR WEDDING?
by Lequisha Smith and Ernest Smith on 04/12/11So, the question is are you hiring a planner for your wedding and which one of you is making that decision? That seems to be my favorite topic to always talk about because I'm just so curious to know what actually goes on in brides (and grooms) mind set. There is not one bridal couple that is alike in any way (except mabey if you're identical twins-and as you know twins think alot alike). So, there could be all types of different reasons why you wouldn't hire or you would hire a planner. For example, my recent bridal couple chose to hire a planner for their wedding and this was the grooms decision-not the brides (surprisingly). But, they chose to hire one because they simply didn't realize exactly how much planning went into pulling a wedding off, nor did they have the time due to their demanding work schedules.
Think about it? If you're planning your own wedding and don't know what you're really doing to begin with-you're buying books, your reading and printing (or saving) all different types of information off the web. Not only that, you're dearest friends and family is pulling you this way and that way for decisions and giving you all sorts of advice in which you really don't know if it's right or wrong. So, just by all of that can be tons of overwhelming and stress build up-that you just don't need to take on during your engagement period. Now, on the other hand you could be a bride to be that is a homemaker and has all the time in the world to plan a wedding but, still might not feel comfortable with the planning aspects and/or coordinating the day of the event. So, this is a great topic to open up the floor with and all comments (that are related to the subject) are welcome. So, I really look forward to hearing your feedback. Happy Planning!
